Job Opportunity: Civil Process Server
ALS is seeking a process server to join our team.
Job Description:
A Civil Process Server is an authorized individual responsible for the legal and timely delivery of court-mandated documents (service of process) to defendants, witnesses, and other parties involved in civil legal actions. This role is crucial to maintaining the constitutional right of due process and ensuring legal cases can move forward. The Process Server must execute service attempts diligently and accurately, adhering strictly to all local, state, and federal laws governing service of process.
Who We're Looking For: No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive in-house training, but previous experience as a process server, first responder, or paralegal is ideal.
- Position Details: Pay: $40-45 per case for Routine Service (up to 3 attempts within 10 days), $90 for Rush Service (up to 3 attempts within 5 days). $130 Same Day (up to 3 attempts within 3 days)
- Location: Candidates should be centrally located or willing to travel throughout a designated coverage area.
- Availability: Must be available on both weekdays and weekends, with the ability to make attempts at various times throughout the day.
- Job Requirements: Complete assignments in a timely manner, with the first attempt required within 5 days of receiving the job for routine service. Must have a printer, smartphone, reliable transportation, and obtain access to a free notary or pay for one for certain affidavits that require notarization.
This is a 1099 contractor position, and work availability will depend on our caseload in the area.
