Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder who is ready to be a hands-on part of our fabrication team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with various metals, and willing to jump in and help with other tasks as needed. You’ll work closely with a small team in a fast-paced, shop environment, supporting production of precision tooling and GSE products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Fit, assemble, and prepare metal parts for welding.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Assist with other shop tasks beyond welding as needed.
- Work closely and collaboratively with machinists, fabricators, and engineers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years TIG welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency welding aluminum and stainless steel required.
- Ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Team player who works well with others in a collaborative shop environment.
- Flexible and willing to take on tasks outside of welding.
- Ability to pass a weld test.
