Project Manager - Commercial Electrical & Design-Build
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects with a strong focus on electrical systems and design-build delivery. The ideal candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules and budgets, ensure quality and safety compliance, and act as the primary client contact to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Key Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, with emphasis on electrical scope and design-build integration.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts; proactively identify and mitigate risks to meet milestones and financial targets.

Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and internal trade teams to ensure seamless collaboration and adherence to specifications.

Serve as the primary client and stakeholder liaison, providing regular status updates, addressing concerns, and managing scope changes and contract modifications.

Oversee quality control and safety programs on site, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and company policies.

Review and manage project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Facilitate constructability reviews and value engineering sessions during design and pre-construction to optimize cost and schedule.

Monitor project performance metrics, prepare progress reports, and lead project closeout activities including punchlist completion and final documentation handover.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of Project Manager experience in commercial construction with demonstrable expertise in electrical scope and design-build projects.

Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple subcontractors on medium to large commercial projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and commercial building construction practices.

Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and client management skills.

Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, PlanGrid, BIM tools) and familiarity with contract types and change management processes.

Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCM, or OSHA 30 are a plus, as is prior experience with LEED or other sustainable construction programs.
