As a Fiber Optic Technician / Splicer, you'll install, splice, test, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic infrastructure at project sites throughout the United States. This is a travel-based role that requires flexibility and a willingness to work away from home for extended periods as project schedules demand.
Depending on the assignment, travel may include company-paid lodging, per diem, overtime opportunities, and commercial air travel. Project locations and schedules vary based on customer and business needs.

Install, splice, terminate, test, and repair fiber optic cable and related equipment.

Interpret construction plans, splice diagrams, utility maps, and technical drawings.

Assist with the construction and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Diagnose service issues and perform troubleshooting to restore network performance.

Travel to assigned job sites throughout the region and across the United States.

Participate in an on-call rotation to assist with emergency outages and restoration efforts.

Complete daily reports, testing documentation, and project records accurately.

Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe operating condition.

Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.

Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional air travel.

Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and physically demanding environments.

Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and computer applications.

Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, overtime, and emergency response assignments when needed.

Ability to distinguish colors and accurately read technical documentation.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
