American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with orthopedic, neuro, and vascular OR experience for a day-shift position at an acute care hospital ASC.

Work setting is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) within a short-term acute care hospital with 80 staffed beds
-
Outpatient surgical cases are the primary focus; inpatient and trauma case experience is preferred
-
Required case experience includes orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgery
-
Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)

Weekends required, approximately 3 per schedule

On-call required: one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 0700–0700, with a 20-minute response time

Occasional night shift coverage may be required within the contract period

Charting is performed using Epic (experience required)

Scrubs are provided for OR staff

Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required

Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgical cases is required

BLS certification required

Epic EMR proficiency required

Active professional license required if applicable

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

SSN and DOB required for consideration

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in assignment termination

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on facility needs and minimal RTO is strongly preferred
