Job Summary:
The Banquet Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful setup, coordination, and execution of banquets and large events. The Banquet Lead acts as the primary point of contact during events and is responsible for maintaining high standards of service, safety, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper preparation and setup of banquet events, including arranging furniture, decor, and audio-visual equipment according to event specifications.
- Ensure that banquet rooms are clean, organized, and appropriately set for events.
- Lead, guide, and support banquet staff throughout the event to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Monitor the guest experience to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns that may arise during the event.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Must have an eye for detail and be committed to keeping the bar clean and organized
- Excellent communication skills; ability to count change and reconcile paperwork
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally and understand that position involves frequent bending, twisting, squatting and turning
Education and Experience:
- Experience: Minimum (1) year in a restaurant/banquet establishment
