Kennel Technician Position
- Must be 18+, And available Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm, Weekends 7am-4pm
- WEEKENDS & ALL HOLIDAYS REQUIRED (our busiest times)
- Valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation
- Experience with dogs preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time‑management, maturity, and attention to detail
- Comfortable being outdoors year‑round
- Able to lift 30–40 lbs frequently
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to a changing schedule
The Pet Care Technician is responsible for the daily operations of the kennel and care of the dogs and ensure that they are cared for properly and reports to the Kennel Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementing operations for kennel/ boarding/daycare dogs.
- Completing daily tasks and duties to ensure that the kennel and facilities are maintained to standard.
- Scheduling boarding/daycare appointments; checking in & out guests.
- Doggy Daycare Monitoring
- Ensuring that kennels and facilities are cleaned and sanitized to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Ensuring dogs are fed and exercised and generally cared for.
- Monitoring behavior and health of boarded dogs.
- Yard Work
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following skills and qualities:
Compassion: Pet Care Technician must be kind and caring when dealing with animals and their owners.
Customer Service: Provide Clients and pets top-notch customer service, even when the day is tough.
Flexibility: Applicant should be prepared for a loosely structured day. Must be a quick thinker & adapt to changes in the schedule throughout the day
Interpersonal skills: A Pet Care Technician must interact with owners as they drop off and pick up their pets and maintain a positive communicative relationship with fellow kennel staff.
Physical stamina: In this role may need to be on their feet for long hours at a time or may need to crawl, bend, and lift to work with the animals. Should be able to lift 30-40lbs frequently
Trustworthiness: Pet Care Technicians must demonstrate that they can be trusted to care for for other peoples' animals.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.13 per hour
