This position is project-based. The Student Designer will work 5-10 hours per week primarily for the summer, but may lead into the school year if desired by both entities. (Open to Hybrid/Remote)
Position Summary: The position will assist the Ratcliffe Center For Creative Entrepreneurship (RCCE) team by providing graphic design and digital media support. This position is an excellent opportunity to build your design portfolio and skills, collaborate with professional staff, broaden your knowledge of MICA’s employer base, learn the administrative behind-the-scenes work of a higher education student support office, and have the creative freedom to make good designs.
General purpose: Provide supplemental administrative and graphic design support for the Ratcliffe Center for Creative Entrepreneurship.
Major role functions:
Position responsibilities:
Create digital posters, flyers, virtual event banners and wayfinding, social media graphics, .GIFs and other means to promote co-curricular programs and events.
Collaborate on PowerPoint designs for workshop presentations
Design promotional documents for RCCE news, programs and events.
Required essential skills and experience:
Attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to multitask.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and organization/planning skills.
Computer skills including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and databases and web research.
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Ability to create GIFs and digital graphics.
Ability and willingness to work collaboratively and independently.
