Duties
- Prepare and serve food and beverages with attention to quality, presentation, and safety standards
- Assist in menu planning and food preparation for bar snacks, appetizers, and light meals
- Ensure all food handling, safety, sanitizing procedures, and hygiene standards are strictly followed
- Support high-volume food production during busy hours by utilizing skills such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety management
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment according to food safety protocols
- Engage with guests through friendly service, taking orders accurately and serving promptly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and presentation for optimal guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred but not required
- Experience in restaurant or bar environments with a focus on food service or catering
- Knowledge of culinary techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food production processes
- Demonstrated knife skills and experience in high-volume food handling or meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and safe food handling practices
- Exposure to fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
