Position Summary:
We are seeking a Medical Technologist to join a clinical laboratory team in Richlands, Virginia. The Medical Technologist will perform laboratory testing, analyze patient specimens, maintain accurate records, and ensure testing is completed according to established quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on patient specimens.
- Prepare, process, and analyze blood, urine, tissue, and other clinical specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Review and verify test results for accuracy and completeness.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
