Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laminator Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Pittsburg, Kansas. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring lamination equipment while ensuring products meet quality standards, production goals, and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has manufacturing or machine operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
Required Experience & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
- Ability to read work orders, specifications, and production instructions
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities preferred
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate laminator equipment according to production specifications
- Prepare and mix adhesives while verifying proper materials before production
- Perform test runs and submit samples for quality approval
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance when necessary
- Complete production reports and quality documentation accurately
- Assist with material preparation and production scheduling activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laminator operation experience
- Forklift, hoist, or other material handling equipment experience
- Manufacturing, production, or machine operation background
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands, arms, and upper body movements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to move heavier materials with proper equipment assistance
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, climbing, and material handling
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with moving machinery and production equipment
- Exposure to industrial noise, fumes, and airborne particles
- Fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, and teamwork
- PPE required as designated by company policies
