Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures
- Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and answer questions to promote oral health awareness
- Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and document procedures thoroughly
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of all dental tools and workspaces in compliance with health regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to enhance practice efficiency
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Dental Assistant preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with dental software systems is a plus but not required
