Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and implementing curriculum tailored to students’ individual needs, including early childhood development activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a safe, organized learning environment
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students
- Help facilitate activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and inclusive participation among students
- Support classroom routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and maintaining cleanliness of learning spaces
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and other staff to promote a collaborative educational experience
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, colleagues, and families
- Experience in curriculum development or lesson planning for young learners is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs
- Certification or training in child care or early childhood education is preferred but not required

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
