Job Summary

Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process purchases, returns, and exchanges
- Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure attractive presentation
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Assist customers with questions about products, store policies, and promotions using excellent phone etiquette
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
- Promote a friendly atmosphere by engaging customers in conversation and offering personalized assistance
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or training new staff
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain products and store policies
- Basic math skills for quick calculations during transactions and inventory counts
- Experience with merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales strategies
