Duties
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns using advanced tax preparation software.
- Ensure all tax documents are accurate, complete, and compliant with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients in understanding their financial situations by explaining tax concepts clearly and professionally.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify deductions, credits, and potential areas for tax savings.
- Support client acquisition efforts through effective communication, marketing initiatives, and follow-up.
- Maintain organized records of all tax reports, documents, and correspondence for audit readiness.
- Stay updated on changes in tax law and regulations to provide accurate guidance and ensure compliance.
Skills
- Strong understanding of tax law, tax reporting, and compliance procedures across various types of taxes.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software, accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, and other financial tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Solid accounting background with experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments.
- Analysis skills to interpret financial data accurately and identify key insights for clients.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping practices, technical accounting standards, and financial concepts.
- Ability to type quickly (10 key typing skills) while maintaining accuracy during busy periods.
- Basic knowledge of marketing strategies to support client outreach efforts.
