Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes by providing advanced respiratory therapies, managing ventilators, and supporting critically ill individuals.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status through vital signs, oxygen levels, and physical examinations to determine appropriate therapy plans.
- Administer respiratory treatments including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and aerosol medications with precision and care.
- Operate and monitor medical equipment to ensure optimal patient support.
- Respond swiftly to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate actively in resuscitation efforts following established protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive respiratory support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities within EHR systems while ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, medication administration, and equipment use to promote understanding and adherence.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- RRT license in MI
- Current BLS certification
