Responsibilities
- Expert Diagnostics & Repair: Handle complex troubleshooting and repairs on residential and light commercial systems.
- Ductwork: Diagnose, repair, and replace ductwork.
- Inspect attic duct systems, identify duct sizes and layout, and determine required repairs or replacements.
- Accurately measure and quote ductwork projects, including duct sizing improvements.
- Clearly explain recommended work to customers.
- Supervise installers on larger ductwork projects.
- Customer Consultation & Sales: Be thorough in presenting customers with multiple options, from repairs to full system replacements. The more options you present, the more you can earn. Your income is truly in your own hands.
- Build Relationships: Follow up with customers, generate referrals, and build long-term trust that keeps Dana's name at the top of mind.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent Dana's AC with professionalism and integrity, ensuring every customer feels they are in good hands.
- Lead by Example: Maintain a high standard of work that reflects our 70-year history of excellence.
- Must have the tenacity and commitment to see every job through to completion. Once a job is started, you take ownership of it and do everything possible to finish the work the same day so the customer is not left without A/C.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC minumum 5-7 year of diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including electrical diagnostics, refrigeration principles, plumbing integration.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters; proficiency in equipment troubleshooting is essential.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in HVAC system installation and maintenance; familiarity with building automation systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must possess or be willing to obtain EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks involving lifting, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and operating hand tools safely.
