Job Description: Jet Engine Technician
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Jet Engine Technician to join our team. As a Jet Engine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of jet engines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of jet engines, identifying and diagnosing any issues or potential problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing engine components.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot engine malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment.
- Implement repairs and replacements as necessary, ensuring adherence to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate with a team of technicians and mechanics to coordinate maintenance schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, including records of inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations in accordance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Solid mechanical aptitude and technical skills, with a strong understanding engine maintenance and components.
- Proven experience as a technician, preferably in an aviation or aerospace environment. Automotive experience is acceptable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow complex technical instructions.
- Proficient in using specialized tools and equipment for engine maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and superiors.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in the aviation industry.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in aircraft maintenance or jet engine repair are highly desirable.
Pay rate of $17-$18 per hour starting pay for non aviation experienced applicants. Pay rates for experienced aviation mechanics will be commensurate upon experience.
