Responsibilities
-The Instructor embodies music and movement education in a positive way and is responsible for creating a culture of music in the school as well as a valuable student lesson experience filled with movement, creativity and social emotional learning.
-The Instructor creates a dynamic lesson experience to ensure their students are challenged and inspired.
-The Instructor is responsible for all music and education-related elements within the lessons.
-Adhere to curated lesson plans while adding personal elements that demonstrate creativity.
-Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
-Communicate regularly with parents, admin & teachers on progress of students.
-Ideal hours: 9- 12 PM. MON-FRI AVAILABILITY REQUIRED!
-12-2:30/ After school hours are contingent upon availability.
Qualifications
-1 + years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
-Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design preferred.
-Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of students, teachers and administration.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Motivated, self starter.
-Very strong kid relations skills.
-Resourceful and good problem-solver.
-Punctual and works well under pressure.
-Ideal candidate has a passion for working with students as young as 2 years old.
-Enthusiastic, creative, flexible, patient, and a positive demeanor for students.
-Bilingual encouraged to apply.
-Qualified candidates will be required to provide at least 2 references.
-Those invited for an interview are required to present a mock music lesson (15 minutes).
-Candidates must be full vaccinated against COVID-19 and show their vaccination cards.
--Ideal hours: 9- 2 PM. MON-FRI AVAILABILITY REQUIRED!
-Friday Team calls every Friday from 1:00-1:15 PM are mandatory and required!
-Social Media photo uploads and video submissions are required!
-Candidates who do not have have a valid status for classroom teaching from the NYC Department of Education (DOE) will be asked to undergo a fingerprinting and background check by the NYC DOE PETS system. Only those cleared by the DOE are eligible for hire at Keys 4 Success.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
