Job Summary
Harwin is a global manufacturer of high-reliability interconnect devices. Our facility in Salem, NH, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative specializing in Test & Inspection to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of electronic assemblies through inspection processes.
Direct experience is not a requirement for this position. The ideal candidate would be high energy, have a positive attitude, strong willingness to learn and thrive in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection of cable assemblies and related components to associated workmanship standards, drawings, and industry standards.
- Use of magnifying lamps and microscopes for extended periods
- Participate in the ongoing development of product workmanship standards
- Reporting and control of non-conforming products
- Using basic measurement tools e.g. micrometers, calipers, and various gauges
- Verify electrical performance with cable harness tester
- Assist with company test equipment & hand tool calibration program
- Any other duties as and when required, e.g. crimping, hand assembly, packing
Preferred Skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience using Cirris cable testers
- Familiarity with IPC-WHMA-A-620 standards
- Prior experience working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
