The Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in support of patient diagnosis and treatment, while also assisting with clinical duties as a Medical Assistant when needed. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in both laboratory and clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
- Prepare, process, and analyze specimens for urine drug screening and toxicology testing
- Conduct PCR and molecular testing for respiratory and urinary tract pathogens
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation, including Spectrum systems
- Assist with clinical tasks such as patient intake, specimen collection, and basic medical assisting duties
- Accurately document laboratory and clinical information in patient records
- Follow all safety, quality control, and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory staff
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Spectrum systems
- Familiarity with AV Syrex L CMS 3200MD instrumentation (training provided)
- Experience with Studio 5 for PCR and molecular diagnostic testing
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or medical assistant role

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Training will be provided for laboratory instrumentation and clinical processes
