The candidate for this position must desire to work and grow within the Environmental Health and Safety field. This position must establish a solid understanding of the principles of Health and Safety field.
This position will support all aspects of the environmental health and safety program as well as continuous improvement projects to ensure TTM excels in this realm.
The position reports to the site EHS Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include the reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns. Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and all Safety Procedures and alerts.
- Analyze safety metrics to identify trends and establish improvement projects and procedures to reduce future risk.
- Review capital projects to ensure employee EHS concerns are being addressed
- Develop and analyze data to create predictive models for use in future employee health and welfare projects and training opportunities.
- Work with production to be proactive with any design/process changes that will have an EHS impact.
- Conduct safety drills and ensure the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Develop and conduct monthly impactful health and safety training sessions.
- Develops and implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and emergency response plans for spills, overflows, and equipment failures.
- Coordinates drills to ensure readiness for environmental or safety incidents.
- Facilitates and attends meetings, communicates regularly with managers and supervisors, suggests and composes procedural changes, attends special training, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors’ safety hazards and issues.
- Understand Oregon Workers Compensation as you be responsible for managing and ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant handling of workers’ compensation claims. This role serves as a liaison between employees, healthcare providers, insurers, and legal counsel, ensuring that injured workers receive appropriate benefits while minimizing employer liability and costs
- Seek, plan, schedule and complete improvement and cost savings projects
- Assist in daily operations during times of emergency and special circumstances
- Be a part of the Forest Grove Emergency Response Team
Position Requirements:
- Must be capable of wearing a respirator and participating in the emergency response team up to and including Level B response
- Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Must establish solid understanding of the principles of EHS processes and their applications.
- Must possess good interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to multitask and lead by example.
- Good mathematical skills, good computer skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook (email)
- Must be reliable and dependable. Must also be a fast learner.
- Available for calls from off-shift and after office hours
- Read and understands specifications and procedures
- Has good reading vision and is able to sit for up to 10 hours per day.
- Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
- Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.
- Industrial Hygiene experience and full understanding of chemical hygiene controls as it relates to employee protection.
- Ability to make well-informed decisions in both routine and emergency.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
