As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and dependable Tree Care Worker to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in all aspects of tree care while developing valuable skills in a professional and safety-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in tree care operations, both on the ground and aloft, and possess a CDL Class B license. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor are essential. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates reliability, a commitment to safety, and the ability to perform physically demanding work.
Position Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of tree care operations as assigned.
- Perform climbing, aerial lift operation, groundsman duties, brush handling, and site cleanup.
- Assist with tree removals, pruning, rigging, and debris disposal.
- Safely operate chainsaws, hand tools, and other equipment required for tree care operations.
- Use ropes and rigging equipment safely and effectively.
- Drive pickup trucks and trailers.
- Operate a grapple truck and other assigned equipment (CDL Class B required).
- Inspect, maintain, and care for trucks, equipment, chainsaws, and tools.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in daily job briefings and weekly safety meetings.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the company positively with customers and the public.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in the tree care industry preferred.
- Valid Florida Class E driver's license required.
- CDL Class B license preferred.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Must reside in the Tampa Bay area.
- Commitment to safe work practices at all times.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional conduct.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb trees and work at heights.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and manually move heavy materials and equipment.
- Good physical fitness, strength, vision, and hearing.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor throughout the workday.
