Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender with open availability to join our vibrant hospitality team! Our shifts run 8a-1p/3p, 1p/3p-close during the week and 7a-1p/3p on the weekends and halfway house shifts are 10:30a-6p during the week and 8:30a-5p on the weekends. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, creating memorable experiences for guests through exceptional service and expertly crafted beverages behind our bar or in our Halfway House. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a lively atmosphere, whether in a casual dining setting, bar, or banquet event. The ideal candidate is passionate about the food and beverage industry, possesses excellent customer service skills, and thrives in fast-paced environments. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, billing, and cash handling efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws and policies.
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and utensils as needed to keep the bar fully equipped during busy hours.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during dining or banquet events to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; process payments via POS systems and provide correct change.
- Uphold food safety standards during serving, food handling, and beverage preparation.
- Assist in training new team members on proper serving techniques, POS operation, and safety procedures when required.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially within fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize duties during high-volume periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate billing.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements; knowledge of alcohol laws is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like banquets or catering functions.
