Courier Express is currently looking for individuals in the Waltham area who are reliable, responsible, and have excellent communication skills to be an integral part of our team. Our ideal applicants will provide prompt, courteous and professional delivery/pickup service to multiple facilities and will also contribute to the mission of providing comprehensive, cost-effective pharmacy services to long-term care facilities and other public health organizations.
Here are the specifics about the positions we could have available:
These positions will be making deliveries and pickup of many different items including, but not limited to, pharmaceuticals, boxes, equipment, and supplies.
- $18 per hour to start
- Schedules will be 4-8 hour routes
- Day routes between 8:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Night routes between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
- Weekend routes (Sat & Sun) between 3:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m.
- Full & part-time positions available (part-time will be 2-3 days per week)
- Vehicles are equipped to hand New England winters appropriately
- These deliveries will include sensitive materials such as confidential names, medications, and addresses that require the upmost care and respect.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely operating a company-owned hatchback/CUV and maneuvering into loading or unloading positions
- Delivering to customers in a timely, professional, helpful manner
- Communicate with management/dispatch
- Follow route and time schedule, but have flexibility for possible add-on “STAT” pickups
- Keeping vehicle clean and refueled each day
- Reporting vehicle maintenance and mechanical issues
- Fast paced work environment
- Inside office pickups and deliveries
- Following all traffic laws and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have clear background and clean driving record
- Must pass drug screening
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Must meet all requirements of our insurance carrier
- Proficiency with using smart devices: phone apps & GPS
- Have your own Bluetooth device for hands-free calls while driving
- Walking, up to 2+ miles per day
- Physically be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle and move/push/pull/lift items (sometimes of large and irregularly shaped) weighing up to 50+ lbs., (proper equipment is provided for assistance)
