Dietary Wait Staff bring warmth and care to the dining experience in our assisted living community. They serve meals with courtesy and efficiency, maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment, and support residents’ comfort and dignity through attentive service. This role is essential in creating a positive atmosphere where residents feel valued and cared for.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must be able to communicate with the staff, and other department supervisors.
Maintains a rapport with the residents and their families.
Must be willing to seek out new methods and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Must attend and participate in continuing educational programs.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift trays, and perform light cleaning tasks
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Must meet the general health requirements set fourth by the policies of this facility.
May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to climb stairs.
Will work in a well-lit and ventilated area.
Will be subject to frequent interruptions.
May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.
May be subject to call-backs during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
Is subject to injury from falls, burns, from equipment, odors, etc., throughout the workday, as well as reactions from dust, disinfectants and other air contaminates.
