American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring current chemotherapy certification and at least one year of chemotherapy experience.
-
Work in the Oncology Infusion Clinic (SCC Main Infusion Center) of a hospital setting
-
Adult patient population receiving chemotherapy and infusion treatments
-
Administers PO and SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered
-
Initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
-
Assists physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
-
Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly

Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact eNLC)
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
-
Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)

Current ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required

Minimum of 1 year of chemotherapy experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques

Effective communication skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients

Provide direct chemotherapy administration and patient education on treatment and side effects

Document patient responses to nursing interventions and communicate changes in physician orders

Coordinate patient follow-up care including referrals and post-visit phone triage
-
Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Interact with patients and families to share care plans during clinic visits and discharge

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (no local candidates)

Compliance documentation, including background checks and drug screening, must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
-
Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to meet compliance timelines
