We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medication as prescribed, and recording care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional planning to promote healthy eating habits
- Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with manual handling to ensure safe mobility
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorder support
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings while ensuring safety and comfort
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring methods
- Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, first aid, CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, or dementia is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper manual handling techniques and assist with patient transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members while respecting resident’s rights
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in hospice care or geriatrics are a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
