Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
You will implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), support clients in developing meaningful life skills, collect behavioral data, and help create positive outcomes for the individuals and families we serve.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday 4:00PM to 7:00PM
Compensation
- BT: $25–$28 per hour
- RBT: $30–$35 per hour
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Assist clients with ADLs to promote independence and improve daily living skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes accurately.
- Teach new skills using ABA techniques, reinforcing positive behaviors while managing challenging behaviors.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health practices.
Requirements
- RBT Training (40-hour course complete) is required.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care standards.
- Ability to understand medical terminology, medical records, care plans, and documentation requirements.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- A compassionate approach to working with individuals requiring behavioral support.
Professional Development
We are committed to supporting the professional growth of our team members. BACB-compliant fieldwork supervision is available for qualified employees pursuing Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
Employees working toward BCBA eligibility may receive supervision from an experienced BCBA in accordance with BACB requirements. Fieldwork supervision is provided based on employee performance, supervisor availability, and mutual agreement.
