Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist, working from 1pm to 8pm to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on ABA principles to support children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Collect and analyze behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and caregivers to ensure consistency and reinforce therapy goals at home and in community settings
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards
- Support the development of care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, including behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to implement ABA therapy protocols aligned with professional ethical guidelines
Skills
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism spectrum disorders or neurodevelopmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and behavior management strategies
- Ability to assist with ADLs and support clients in developing independence skills
- Strong data collection skills for behavioral data collection and progress tracking
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Home-based behavioral experience or school experience supporting children with disabilities is highly desirable
- Excellent client communication skills, patience, empathy, and a professional approach to patient care
