Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mold Setup Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up molds for injection molding machines, ensuring optimal machine performance, product quality, and performing general maintenance and troubleshooting. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, maintain high standards of safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares machines for the installation of new molds.
- Safely installs molds into injection molding machines.
- Connects water lines, knockout bars, hydraulic lines, air lines, switches, hoppers, dryers, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Aligns and adjusts molds to ensure proper relationship with the machine.
- Controls the flow of materials and coolant into the machine.
- Monitors the molding process for any issues and makes adjustments as needed.
- Performs minor mold maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoots problems with mold operations.
- Assists with machine and equipment-related problems.
- May be responsible for material handling duties, including delivering raw materials and removing finished goods.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Production Manager
- Other duties as assigned.
GENERAL SKILLS
- Basic computer skills are required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year related experience in a manufacturing environment required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations. Rapid hand and eye coordination.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an hourly position which is eligible for overtime. A minimum of forty (40) hours a week is required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position does not have any travel requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area. Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required on a daily basis as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting.
SAFETY
Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE may be required in production areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is not maintained throughout the year. In addition, there may be exposure to equipment, noise and/or chemicals depending on the specific job to which assigned.
REASONING ABILITY
Sound judgment and decision-making skills necessary. Must be able to appropriately prioritize multiple tasks and maintain timeliness for completion.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
