To succeed at this job you must have a good memory, attention to detail and be willing to take direction, listen and learn. The job is broken down by tasks done correctly and pay for the accomplished parts of the job. I will start teaching at the beginning and work up in pay as the tasks are done efficiently and accurately.
I am willing to train and teach and answer questions, but the person also needs to be self-motivated and able to think and work effectively by themselves once trained.
I do a lot of work outside the office for work and my family. I expect you to be able to handle the office with or without me.
When I am here your sole job is to make my time more efficient, so I can see more people. The more people I see, the more valuable you become.
Each step up in pay includes continually doing the lower expectations well, while adding and excelling at the new level. Honest questions will not cause a pay demotion. Failure to do a trained task, or doing it poorly will.
$16 an hour expectations:
Showing up on time, ready to work
Listening and taking direction
Asking for help when you don’t understand or know how to do something
Greeting customers and making eye contact
Keeping personal drama away from patients
Cleaning: spot cleaning as needed and deep cleaning good to keep the office nice
and clean
Taking up acupunctures as trained
Putting vitamins away correctly and efficiently
Reminder calls
Pulling files for the next day as you add them to the schedule and putting the date in, flipping the sheet if you need more room or putting in a new page
Adding people to the next days file pile, dating correctly, flipping the page if more
room is needed, or adding a new page
Putting people on Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance correctly so they
can be billed later
Make new patient packets and files
$17 an hour expectations:
Scheduling people correctly
Checking out nutrition walk-ins efficiently and correctly
Checking people in and out correctly
Entering new patients in the computer
Doing deposits accurately
Getting the bank deposits ready for me and change orders
$18 an hour
Be able to do all of the above unsupervised
Looking for and asking for things to do
Freeing up the Doctors time
$19 an hour expectations:
Filing Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance
$20 an hour expectations:
Applying payments correctly and documenting it correctly
Finding and resubmitting corrections for any unpaid insurance
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
