Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Personal Training Counselor to join our health club team. This role involves guiding members through personalized fitness programs, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and enhancing their overall experience at our gym. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physiology, anatomy, and fitness program design, with excellent sales and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Assess members’ fitness levels and health history to develop tailored training programs
- Provide expert guidance on body mechanics, physiology, and anatomy to ensure safe and effective workouts
- Design customized fitness plans that align with individual goals, whether for weight loss, muscle gain, or general wellness
- Conduct personal training sessions and group fitness classes to motivate and educate members
- Promote gym memberships and personal training packages through engaging sales techniques
- Educate members on proper exercise techniques, injury prevention, and overall health strategies
- Track progress and adjust programs as needed to optimize results
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages member retention and satisfaction
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics
- Proven experience in personal training, program design, or sports coaching
- Ability to teach physical education and lead group fitness classes effectively
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to promote health club services confidently
- Knowledge of fitness sales strategies and customer relationship management
- Effective communicator with the ability to motivate diverse groups of individuals
- Familiarity with gym equipment, health club operations, and safety protocols
