Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircutting, styling, beard trimming, straight razor shaves, and hair coloring with precision and care.
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and streamline daily operations.
- Perform advanced grooming techniques like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to meet diverse client needs.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations.
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their preferences, and offering personalized recommendations for hair care and retail products.
- Upsell retail items such as hair care products, makeup applications, and nail care essentials to enhance client satisfaction and store sales.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hairstyling trends, color theory, and professional techniques to foster a collaborative environment.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and barbering techniques.
- Proficiency with salon management software like MINDBODY for scheduling and client management.
- Expertise in hair extensions, hair coloring, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe and hygienic salon environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client consultation and retail sales upselling.
- Ability to manage store operations including front desk duties and retail math calculations.
- Strong understanding of cosmetology principles including color theory and skin care basics.
- Experience mentoring team members and delivering outstanding customer service that builds lasting client relationships.
