Pay: $18.00 to $22.00 / hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Camp Counselor Supervisor to help lead our summer team. This role bridges the gap between administration and floor staff. You will support the Camp Director, oversee camp counselors, and directly manage the execution of our daily craft projects.
Mandatory Requirement: Because you will actively teach and troubleshoot projects, proven intermediate-to-advanced skills in weaving, knitting, hand-sewing, and painting are strictly required. ---Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Assist the Director with daily operations. Lead counselor huddles, oversee floor staff, and act as the go-to problem solver during shifts.
- Art Studio Oversight: Prep materials and guide counselors/campers through complex textile and visual art projects (weaving, sewing, knitting, painting).
- Camper Management: Manage daily transitions, arrival/dismissal, and lunchtime. Maintain a calm, safe, and respectful environment; resolve camper conflicts effectively.
- Operations & Events: Keep high-volume craft supplies organized. Help manage "Special Activity Fridays" and capture daily social media content.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years working with children; prior supervisory, camp leadership, or lead teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Artistic Expertise: Must be highly proficient and comfortable teaching weaving, knitting, sewing, and painting.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to stay calm in a high-energy, creative environment.
- Physical: Ability to stand for extended periods and actively engage with children.
Camp Rules & Expectations
- No cell phone use during camp hours to ensure 100% focus on safety and engagement.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive tone; serve as a role model for kindness and creativity.
Schedule & Benefits
- Schedule: Monday–Friday (4 or 8-hour shifts); occasional weekends as needed.
- Benefits: Flexible scheduling within camp hours.
