- The initial compensation for this position ranges from $71,760 to $88,256 Per Year, depending on experience, location and internal equity considerations

Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor & EHS Coordinator is responsible for supervising maintenance operations for the Northern Region while coordinating the Agency's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program. The position provides leadership for maintenance personnel, oversees maintenance processes and preventive maintenance programs, and supports efficient operation of agency facilities. In addition, the position coordinates agency-wide EHS initiatives, including regulatory compliance, safety training, inspections, emergency preparedness, and related documentation. The position exercises independent judgment within established policies and procedures and collaborates with leadership to promote operational excellence and a culture of safety.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate Maintenance Technicians; monitor attendance, approve timesheets, conduct performance evaluations, and administer corrective action, as appropriate.

Ensure employees comply with agency safety, security, policies, and procedures by promoting safe work practices and ensuring employees understand the proper use of tools, equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and applicable safety protocols.

Oversee the maintenance work order management process to ensure requests are prioritized, completed accurately and timely, and effectively communicated. Monitor work order trends, system data, performance metrics, and asset information to support operational efficiency, preventive maintenance planning, and continuous improvement.

Provide overall leadership and oversight of maintenance operations by establishing priorities, monitoring departmental performance, and ensuring maintenance services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Manage and ensure the effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs by monitoring maintenance activities, equipment performance, and maintenance system data to support operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Coordinate facility maintenance projects and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.

Participate in the planning of minor renovation and facility improvement projects, as assigned.

Maintain productive relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers by monitoring service quality, addressing performance concerns, and supporting contract compliance.

Inspect facilities to identify maintenance, safety, and code compliance needs.

Assist with the development of operating and capital budget information by providing recommendations, supporting documentation, and identifying facility, equipment, and maintenance needs.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordination:

Serve as the Agency's EHS Coordinator and coordinate implementation and administration of the Agency's Environmental Health & Safety program.

Coordinate OSHA/Cal-OSHA compliance activities and maintain required documentation.

Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing safety training.

Conduct routine facility safety inspections and coordinate corrective actions.

Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective measures.

Maintain injury, inspection, training, and regulatory records.

Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and drills.

Monitor changes in applicable regulations and assist with implementation of compliance requirements.

Support regulatory inspections, accreditation surveys, and safety committee activities.

Collaborate with agency leadership to promote continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Prepare reports, maintain program documentation, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) or more years of relevant experience required to include:

Supervisory experience in facilities maintenance.

Experience administering or coordinating EHS/safety programs.

Working knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations.

Valid driver's license for travel between locations
