Duties
- Assist customers in selecting cannabis products by providing detailed product information, including effects, potency, and usage tips
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and explain different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories to enhance customer understanding
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and processing payments
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh, appealing products
- Upsell complementary products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Educate customers on responsible consumption practices and legal regulations surrounding cannabis use
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication skills
- Weekend and night availability is required

Experience
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or specialty retail environment
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures to ensure smooth transactions
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions to engage customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse communities better
- Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette for remote assistance or inquiries
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math proficiency for inventory management
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and retail sales strategies to optimize product presentation and sales performance
