Full-time (1.0 FTE), 7-hour day, 10-month, school calendar position
- Primarily support the Cosmetology program at the Wildwood Campus while assisting the Nurse Assisting program as needed.
- Collaborate with Cosmetology and Nurse Assisting instructors to maintain high-quality Career and Technical Education programs.
- Assist with providing supervision, classroom management, and student support in classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning environments.
- Assist students in developing technical, employability, and professional skills aligned with industry standards.
- Assist in monitoring students' academic and technical skill progress, including attendance, classroom performance, and hands-on competencies.
- Assist with implementing 504 Accommodation Plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Assist with maintaining a safe, organized, and productive learning environment, including the proper use of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Communicate and collaborate with instructors, administrators, parents, counselors, and other stakeholders to support student success.
- Keep current with changes and developments in the Cosmetology and Health Careers industries.

Job Qualifications
Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification; must possess or be eligible to obtain at least a Level 1/Initial Teaching Assistant Certificate
- Experience in Cosmetology is preferred.
- New York State Cosmetology License preferred.
- Experience working in a salon, spa, or related industry setting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with secondary students in both classroom and hands-on learning environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness and ability to support both Cosmetology and Nurse Assisting programs.
