Inventory Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Inventory Analyst to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing inventory performance, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting efficient warehouse and distribution operations. By leveraging data analytics and cross-functional collaboration, you will help ensure product availability while minimizing excess inventory and operational costs.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Analysis
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple warehouses and distribution centers to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Analyze inventory trends, turnover rates, stock discrepancies, and service levels to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate root causes of inventory shortages, overstock situations, and obsolescence issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Analyze historical sales, demand, and inventory data to support forecasting and replenishment strategies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Procurement teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
- Assist in developing inventory policies that balance customer service requirements with inventory investment goals.
Supply Chain & Procurement Support
- Partner with Procurement and Supplier Management teams to improve inventory availability and supplier performance.
- Support sourcing initiatives by analyzing purchasing trends, lead times, and supplier metrics.
- Help optimize inventory replenishment processes and reduce supply chain risks.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Develop and maintain inventory performance dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Support process improvement initiatives using data-driven recommendations.
- Present findings and actionable insights to management and key stakeholders.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Analytics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analysis, demand planning, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, power query, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as Syspro, SAP, Oracle, AS400, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, procurement, and warehouse operations.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization projects.

Pay: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
