We're seeking an experienced Travel RN for a Neuro MedSurg Acute unit in Illinois. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with Level I Trauma, dedicated Neuro experience, and previous travel nursing experience.

- Shift: 12-Hour Nights
- Schedule: 36 hours/week
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Charting System: Epic
Unit Information
- Unit: Neuro MedSurg Acute
- Beds: 54 (includes 2 semi-private rooms)
- Patient Ratios:
- Days: 1:4–5
- Nights: 1:5–6
Patient Population
- Stroke
- Spine surgery
- Seizures
- Brain tumors
- Head injuries
- Neuroscience patients
- Occasional medical overflow
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN License (or proof application has been initiated)
- BLS (AHA)
- NIHSS Certification
- Previous travel nursing experience (first-time travelers will not be considered)
- Dedicated Neuro unit experience
- Level I Trauma experience
- Experience managing Heparin titrated drips
Unit Highlights
- Charge Nurse on every shift (typically without a patient assignment)
- House Supervisor available 24/7
- Patient Care Technicians:
- Days/Evenings: 1:9–10
- Nights: 1:10–12
- Hospital-wide telemetry monitoring (no rhythm interpretation required by bedside nurses)
- Philips telemetry monitors
- Epic EMR
