Location: Garland, TX 75042 (Work Location: West Dallas, TX 75212)
Pay: $120,000-$140,000 per year + Performance Bonus

Join a highly automated manufacturing facility where you'll program Allen-Bradley PLCs, integrate Fanuc robotics, commission new production equipment, and lead automation improvement projects that directly increase production reliability and efficiency.
We're looking for a hands-on Automation Controls Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving manufacturing systems, and working with modern automation technologies in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
- Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs using Studio 5000
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Fanuc robotic systems
- Commission new automated production equipment from installation through startup
- Develop and support FactoryTalk View, Ignition SCADA, WinCC, and HMI applications
- Lead automation upgrades and capital equipment projects
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, motion control, sensors, and electrical controls
- Perform root cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through continuous automation improvements
- Support electrical and controls design modifications for manufacturing equipment
- Mentor maintenance technicians and provide technical leadership on automation projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Controls Engineering or Industrial Automation experience
- Strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience (ControlLogix or CompactLogix)
- Studio 5000 programming and troubleshooting experience
- Experience commissioning automated manufacturing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, electrical controls, and industrial networks
Preferred Experience
- Fanuc Robotics programming and troubleshooting
- Siemens PLC experience
- FactoryTalk View, Ignition SCADA, or WinCC
- EtherNet/IP networking
- Motion control systems
- Manufacturing automation and robotics integration
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field
