Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Shift Lead to support our high-energy café team. As a Shift Lead, you will help oversee daily shift operations, support team members, maintain product quality, and ensure every customer receives a great experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, responsible, organized, and comfortable leading by example in a fast-paced café environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the team during assigned shifts and help keep daily operations running smoothly
Support baristas and café team members with drink preparation, food service, and customer interactions
Ensure all drinks, food items, and products are made consistently according to company standards
Provide excellent customer service and help resolve customer concerns professionally
Help train new team members on menu items, procedures, cleanliness, and customer service expectations
Operate the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment throughout the shift
Monitor product levels during the shift and communicate restocking or ordering needs to management
Help ensure food safety, health, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times
Keep the team focused, productive, and positive during busy periods
Communicate shift updates, issues, or concerns to the manager
Stay informed on menu changes, new products, and promotions
Experience:
Previous café, restaurant, food service, or retail experience preferred
Previous shift lead, team lead, or supervisor experience is a plus but not required
Barista experience is helpful, but full training can be provided
Comfort with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math preferred
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional attitude
Reliable, punctual, and willing to take ownership during shifts

Pay: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour
