Duties
- Assist with menu planning and food preparation to ensure timely delivery of meals
- Prepare ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques for various dishes
- Follow food safety management protocols to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination
- Serve meals with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to safety standards in production
- Handle food with care, respecting proper food handling procedures and safety standards in the food industry
- Support catering events by preparing and serving food according to specifications
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in accordance with safety standards
Experience
- Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety practices is essential
- Culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and food handling is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen operations within the food industry or catering environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production and food service environments
- Experience working in a team-oriented setting with excellent communication skills
