Greer Excavating, LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team as a 1099 independent contractor. You will be operating Greer-owned dump trucks to haul and deliver materials to and from excavation sites across the region. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work with a professional crew on commercial and residential earthwork jobs.
We are not accepting owner-operators or those with their own trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate Greer Excavating dump trucks to transport materials (soil, gravel, rock, debris, etc.)
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow job site safety rules and traffic regulations
- Communicate with site foremen and dispatch for delivery and pickup details
- Assist with light labor around truck as needed (spotting, clean-up, etc.)
Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Proven experience driving dump trucks, preferably in excavation or construction
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in outdoor job site conditions
- Must have a smartphone for GPS and job communication
