General Description of Position
Under the general direction and supervision of the Program Chair and Associate Dean, the Adjunct Instructor, Human Anatomy & Physiology with lab, is responsible for instructing students in Human Anatomy and Physiology with the lab. The instructor uses the approved course materials and the learning management system.
The instructor implements teaching strategies, monitors and evaluates student progress, keeps accurate student records, and reports student progress (e.g., midterm and final grade for the course) to SCC Registration and Records. This is a part-time temporary position.
Essential Functions
- Instructs Human and Physiology class
- Instructs Human Anatomy and Physiology lab
- Monitors and assesses student progress, reports progress to SCC Registration and Records
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Relevant experience/instructional experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biological Science, or related relevant area of study
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant instructional and other experience
