Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership to the center, setting goals aligned with educational best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee curriculum development to ensure engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Manage all aspects of school administration, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with local and national regulations related to early childhood education.
- Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff to enhance instructional quality and classroom management skills.
- Supervise school staff, including teachers and support personnel, conducting evaluations and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Lead fundraising efforts to support program growth and resource acquisition, cultivating relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to legal standards such as childhood education laws, special education regulations, and health & safety protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive records related to personnel management, student progress, licensing compliance, and financial operations.
- Represent the center at community events and public speaking engagements to promote its mission and attract new families.
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education or K-12 school administration with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Proven ability in curriculum development tailored to diverse learning needs across early childhood stages.
- Strong management skills with experience supervising school staff and facilitating professional development initiatives.
- Expertise in managing budgets as an executive education administrator along with strategic planning capabilities.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, including special education law and school legal requirements.
- Skilled in fundraising strategies to support program sustainability and expansion efforts.
- Excellent communication skills for effective public speaking, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership within educational settings with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in child care settings.
