Drafter for Construction Company
C & H Restoration LLC is growing and looking for a drafter to join our team. We have been family owned and operated since 2015. We are seeking a drafter to assist primarily with deck, porch and three-season room construction plans. If you are new to the industry and looking to break in, have decades of experience, or something in between - we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities
- Create fully defined & constrained 3D models from existing 2D drawings/views using CAD software
- Create accurate and neatly presented 2D drawings with minimal errors/typo
- Calculate dimensions and standard allowances in accordance with established procedures and meet industry standards
- Assisting with the permit process
- Generating material lists for individual projects
- Managing inventory lists and communicating inventory needs when necessary - this includes ensuring that materials are delivered three days before the start date of a project and confirming the correct materials have arrived
- Updating existing drawings based on design changes or site modifications in collaboration with estimators/owners to ensure accuracy
- Maintaining project documentation and version control
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or trade school education
- Trade certificate or associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- Experience in the use of 3D CAD software
- AutoDesk and Plan 7 experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to proofread documents, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Material
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations and industry guidelines
Experience:
Drafting: 3-5 years (Required)
AutoDesk/Plan 7: 2 years (Preferred)
Degree/Certificate in Drafting: Preferred
