Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Periodontist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal (gum) diseases, as well as perform advanced procedures such as dental implants and oral surgery. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat periodontal diseases, including gingivitis, periodontitis, and other gum-related conditions
- Perform complex procedures such as dental implant placement, gum grafts, and pocket reduction surgeries
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and dental examinations
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patient needs and healthcare regulations
- Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment
- Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term health
- Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to infection control protocols using aseptic techniques during all procedures
- Stay current with advancements in periodontology, dental implants, and oral surgery through ongoing education
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to periodontology
- Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for record keeping and treatment planning
- Experience with four-handed dentistry to optimize efficiency during procedures
- Strong client communication skills to explain complex treatments clearly and compassionately
- Ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment with a focus on patient care excellence
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation best practices
- Ability to assess patients’ overall health status considering pediatric dentistry needs when applicable

Pay: $184,161.05 - $221,785.34 per year
