Job Summary
Alare Technologies is looking for a hands on UAV Flight Technician / Integrator to support the build, integration, testing, and flight operations of advanced unmanned aerial systems. You’ll work directly with engineers and operations teams to ensure our aircraft are ready for mission critical use. Responsibilities
Assembly & Integration
- Build and integrate UAV systems, electronics, and mechanical components.
- Improve assembly processes, work instructions, and integration flows.
- Perform inspections, fit checks, and minor part modifications.
- Prepare components for soldering, wiring, cabling, painting, and enclosure installation.
- Provide feedback to engineering to enhance manufacturability and quality.
Testing & Troubleshooting
- Support equipment test campaigns (travel occasionally required).
- Conduct system level checks and troubleshoot issues.
- Document nonconformances and maintain technical records.
- Coordinate with engineering to resolve technical problems.
Flight Operations
- Support UAV flight operations in compliance with FAA requirements.
- Help develop and maintain flight procedures and training materials.
- Conduct safety assessments, site evaluations, and risk analysis.
- Fly UAVs in constrained operational environments.
- Manage configuration updates to systems and procedures.
Customer & Team Interaction
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers.
- Support design reviews and explain integration or workmanship details.
Required Qualifications
- Training or experience in electronics, mechanical assembly, avionics, robotics, or related fields.
- Electronics assembly or mechanical integration experience. Professional experience in electronics, integration, or UAV systems.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (ITAR requirements)
- Experience in a machine/garage/tool shop or hands-on technical hobbies
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and math skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Part 107 certification or willingness to obtain.
Physical & Operational Capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, stretching, climbing)
- Good hand‑eye coordination
- Travel Readiness supporting remote test campaigns. Carrying luggage and equipment. Standing or walking for long intervals at test sites, working in varying outdoor conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace, defense, or technical systems experience.
- Hands on experience with small UAVs (<55 lbs).
- Experience with flight manuals, procedures, or training materials.
- Understanding of emergency procedures and risk management.
- Project management experience.
- RC aircraft flying experience (fixed wing or rotary wing).
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts, overtime as needed.
Pay
$30.00 – $45.00+ per hour, depending on experience.
