Job Summary
Specialty Internal Medicine office is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Front Office Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact in our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities and an understanding of medical office operations. In this role, you will manage patient interactions, coordinate appointments, collect information and ensure smooth clinic workflows. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient service while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
Duties
- Greet patients professionally and provide outstanding customer service at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Ensure smooth patient flow through the office.
- Schedule patient appointments using EMR.
- Collect payments, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation review for clinical and administrative purposes.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient intake, follow-up appointments and care plans.
- Operate multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the front office area.
- Support administrative tasks including data entry, typing reports, and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems with proficiency.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical administrative support functions within clinical settings.
- Proficiency in EMR for documentation management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and outside sources.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in handling medical records and documentation review.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to always maintain patient confidentiality.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
